Wedding Car Hire Logistics

If you’re worried about getting it right on your wedding day with the transport arrangements – relax; the following guidelines will point you in the right direction:

• You will need at least two wedding cars for a traditional church or registry office wedding: the principal wedding car is for the bride and her father (or whoever is giving away the bride), for their journey to the ceremony; the second wedding car is for the bride’s mother and bridesmaids/flower girls/pageboys.

• After the ceremony, the bride and groom leave for the reception in the principal car, while both sets of parents share the second car. Bridesmaids and pageboys return to their respective family/friends, at this point, for independent onward transport.

• Many couples also provide a third wedding car or appropriate transport for grandparents and grandchildren or other close relatives.

Wedding Car Hire Top Tip

In the photographs, a white wedding dress won’t show up well against a white wedding car. So, when choosing the colour of your wedding car, make sure that the colour of your car provides a contrasting back-drop that complements the colour of your wedding gown.

Do it Differently!

Why not hire the wedding car of your dreams for a couple of days or a whole weekend instead of the traditional few hours on your wedding day. Savour the one-off experience at your leisure. Aston Experience, for example, offers self- drive wedding car hire packages: www.astonexperience.co.uk . Think, with an Aston in the offing, there’d be no shortage of volunteers to act as chauffeur, on the day!
